This 40mm pipe is measured by its Outside Diameter (OD). It is fully compatible with all standard 40mm compression fittings and PP water connectors available in our store.
💡 Pro Tip from the MB Team
Coiled HDPE pipe can be a bit stiff when first unrolled, especially on colder mornings. Uncoil it on the grass and let the sun warm it up for an hour to make handling much easier.
Always use a proper pipe chamfering tool to bevel the edge before pushing it into your compression fittings – this protects the internal O-ring and guarantees a proper watertight seal.
Please note: This black HDPE pipe is designed for non-potable water use only (perfect for garden irrigation, farm watering, and rainwater systems). It is not suitable for WRAS-approved mains drinking water.
